All rides start on the South side of Loop 360 almost directly across from Rudy’s BBQ (see map).

 

You can only ride with Gruppo VOP if you read the following warning and you do so at your own risk. Please ride safely!

WARNING: Riding in groups and on roadways is extremely dangerous. Serious bodily injury and death can occur even when you and those around you are exercising extraordinary care. You must ride at your own risk. Thank you for being careful!

No aerobars and you must call out and signal road debris and make a wide path around the debris so those behind you can see it.

  • The Rides

    Monday Ride

    Start: The MONDAY ride has been discontinued until further notice.
    A fast-paced, 32- mile loop going out south on Hopac/45 to the dead-end and then back north to La Crosse and then to Escarpement and then to l~m Cannon Drive where we go southwest 51~Park1~ay to Barton Creek Blvd. to Lost Creek Blvd. to H1…y. 360 South back to the start. This ride is a little different as it is by appointment only. You need to tell the riders you are coming so they will look for you. Sometimes they vary the start time and place a little. Send an email to me a few days in advance if you are planning to go.

    Wednesday Ride

    Start: 6:30 a.m. as of April 30, 2013
    Fast, race-paced hills – 28-mile loop going out ,and back on SI~ Parkway to Barton Creek Blvd. to Bee Cave Rd.for a short distance to a shortcut into the Lost Creek Subdivision, finishing with the Lost Creek Blvd. climb plus a hilly spur, then back to Loop 360.
    Bring some bread crumbs in case you get lost, it is fast!

     

    Saturday Ride

    Start: 7:30 All for either a 26, 45, or 52-mile ride
    This is a fast ride of lots of hills. The longer loops include the Dam Loop, which is a variation of the Wednesday loop, but adding Hwy 620 to either River Place or Anderson Mill Road. This is usually a spirited ride with a fast pace ( race like conditions). Two later

    Sunday Ride

    Start: 8:00 a. ,m.
    This 27 mile Recovery Ride can be spirited, but hold your horses and you will be fine. Hopac/State Hwy 45 to FM 1826, coming back Slaughter Lane to Mopac. This is a more social ride and it is ideal for an introduction to Gruppo VOP. The ride is generally completed by 9:45-9:50 AM. Therefore, there is time to make an 11:00 church service, if you desire. Unless you are experienced in riding in a peloton, please stay at the back for your safety and the safety of others. You still need to look ahead for rocks, lumber, etc
