Community Night

ANNOUNCING A GREAT PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR SUMMIT’S NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY, COMMISSIONS AND BOARDS

The City of Summit’s Department of Community Programs is offering a great opportunity to promote your organization’s work this summer. If you are a member of a local organization that serves Summit residents, you are invited to participate in the 12th Annual Community Night on the Village Green.
 Tuesday, July 18 has been selected as Community Night, as a part of the “Hot Summer Nights” Concert Series on the Village Green. This is a fun night of community and raising awareness for local non-profit’s missions!  

No fundraising can take place at this event, but you may distribute your organization’s literature materials and giveaways. You must have non-profit status and serve the Summit community. Between 1,000 and 1,500 residents and friends are expected to participate! 

The event begins at 6:30 PM and non-profits can begin set up as early as 4:30 PM. All tables must be set up and ready for visitors by 5:45 PM. An area of the Village Green will be made available for all of the participating organizations. You must supply your own table and chairs. Only one table per organization and no tables over 8 feet in length will be permitted. Pop-up tents no larger than 10’ x 10’ are also permitted. Last year we had over 45 organizations, let’s beat that number this year! 

PARKING: 

• You may park on Maple Street in metered spots 
• You may park on Broad Street in metered spots 
• You may park on Elm Street in metered spots 

UNLOADING YOUR CAR: We have staff on hand that night specifically to assist you in loading and unloading your cars with materials. This is a courtesy as we cannot provide tables or tents
